What an annular cutter does

Unlike a twist drill, an annular cutter removes a ring of material and leaves a central slug. This can make larger holes efficient in suitable steelwork.

  • Use a pilot pin where the cutter system requires one.
  • Secure the magnetic drill correctly before cutting.
  • Remove the slug safely after the cut.

Cutting depth

Two cutters of the same diameter may have different maximum cutting depths.
