Tanair · Yanmar-Powered Diesel Compressors

Tanair Diesel Receiver Mounted Air Compressors

Receiver-mounted diesel piston compressors for site, agricultural, mobile-service and remote applications where a suitable mains electrical supply is unavailable.

15–41 CFM Stated Output
50–200 L Receivers
Yanmar Diesel Engines
Recoil / Electric Start
Off-Grid Air Supply

Receiver-Mounted Diesel Air for Demanding Site Work

The Tanair diesel receiver-mounted range combines an engine-driven piston compressor with an integral air receiver, giving you stored air capacity in one package. Current models span compact 15 CFM units with 50, 100 and 150 litre receivers through to higher-output 26 CFM and 41 CFM models on 200 litre receivers.

These machines are intended for outdoor or suitably ventilated applications where electric power is unavailable or impractical. We can help match compressor output, receiver size and duty to the tools or equipment you need to run.

Why Choose a Receiver-Mounted Diesel Compressor?

Self-Contained PackageCompressor and air receiver are combined in one receiver-mounted arrangement.
Off-Grid OperationDiesel engine drive removes the need for a fixed mains electrical supply.
Stored Air CapacityThe receiver provides an air reserve for intermittent demand and short peaks.
Yanmar Diesel PowerCurrent Tanair diesel models use Yanmar engines in 6 HP and 10 HP configurations.
Recoil / Electric StartCurrent Tanair diesel models are listed with recoil and electric-start capability.

Important airflow note: not every model has a verified FAD figure in the current product data. Where FAD is available, such as the B60 at 19.6 CFM FAD, size from FAD rather than displacement alone. For other models, confirm usable airflow for the intended duty before ordering.

Choosing the Right Receiver Size

50 LCompact stored-air capacity where footprint and portability are important.
100–150 LMore reserve for intermittent demand while retaining the 15 CFM B38B compressor platform.
200 LUsed on the higher-output B60 and B70 receiver-mounted packages.
A larger receiver does not increase compressor airflow. It increases stored-air capacity and can help smooth short-duration demand, but continuous air consumption must remain within the compressor's usable output.

Typical Applications

Construction & Site WorkCompressed air for suitable pneumatic equipment where mains power is unavailable.
AgricultureFarm, yard and remote maintenance applications requiring independent air supply.
Mobile ServiceVehicle-based service and maintenance work where a receiver-mounted diesel package suits the installation.
Remote MaintenanceTemporary or mobile compressed-air duties away from fixed electrical infrastructure.
Pneumatic ToolsSuitable tools can be supported when required pressure, FAD and duty cycle are correctly matched.
Temporary Air SupplyUseful where a self-contained receiver-mounted compressor is preferable to a basemount installation.

Receiver Mounted or Basemount?

Receiver MountedChoose this format when you want the compressor and stored-air receiver supplied together as one package.
BasemountChoose basemount where the compressor will be integrated with a separate receiver, service vehicle, skid or bespoke installation.

Important Diesel Engine Safety

Do not operate diesel-engine compressors indoors or in inadequately ventilated spaces. Combustion engines produce exhaust gases including carbon monoxide. Follow the manufacturer's operating instructions and ensure exhaust gases can disperse safely.

Before ordering, confirm the required airflow, working pressure, simultaneous tool demand, duty cycle, receiver requirement, installation location and any downstream filtration or drying requirements.

Tanair Diesel Receiver Mounted FAQs

How many Tanair diesel receiver-mounted models are currently in the range?

The current product range contains five models: three 15 CFM B38B units with 50, 100 and 150 litre receivers, plus 26 CFM B60 and 41 CFM B70 models on 200 litre receivers.

What is the difference between displacement and FAD?

Displacement is the theoretical volume swept by the compressor pump. Free Air Delivery is the usable delivered airflow. Where an FAD figure is available, it is the more useful figure for sizing tools and equipment.

Does a 200 litre receiver mean the compressor produces more CFM?

No. Receiver size affects stored-air capacity, not the compressor's continuous airflow output.

Can these compressors be used indoors?

No. Diesel-engine compressors produce exhaust gases and should not be operated indoors or in inadequately ventilated spaces.

Can you help me choose between the B38B, B60 and B70?

Yes. Tell us the tools or machinery being supplied, required working pressure, simultaneous demand, expected runtime and any receiver or installation constraints.
