What is a combination dryer?

It combines a refrigerated compressed-air dryer with integrated filtration, reducing separate pipework and helping create a compact air-treatment installation.

How should the correct model be selected?

Select above the compressor's actual delivered airflow and apply the manufacturer correction factors for working pressure, inlet temperature and ambient temperature.

What air quality do the integrated filters support?

The D-MKE product information states that the integrated filtration is designed to support ISO 8573-1 class 1.4.1 performance when correctly installed, operated and maintained.

Does the integrated design remove the need for servicing?

No. The dryer, filter elements and automatic drains still require planned inspection and servicing to control pressure drop and maintain air quality.

Why should operating conditions be checked?

Higher inlet or ambient temperatures can reduce effective dryer capacity. Working pressure also affects model selection, so nominal CFM alone is not enough.

What should be checked before installation?

Confirm airflow, working pressure, inlet temperature, ambient temperature, electrical supply, connection sizes, ventilation, condensate drainage and service clearance.
