Mikropor D-MKE Integrated Air Treatment

Combination Dryers with Integrated Filters

Compare Mikropor D-MKE combination refrigeration dryers from 14 to 347 CFM, combining moisture removal and integrated filtration within one compact compressed-air treatment unit.

Mikropor D-MKE Combination Refrigeration Dryers

The D-MKE range combines refrigerated compressed-air drying with integrated filtration, reducing the number of separate treatment components and helping simplify installation.

The current range contains 12 models from D-MKE 23 through D-MKE 623, covering nominal airflow from approximately 14 to 347 CFM.

Model selection should start with the compressor's actual delivered airflow and then account for working pressure, dryer inlet temperature and ambient temperature.

Range Overview

Choose a D-MKE Combination Dryer by Airflow

Small Systems

D-MKE 23, 38, 53 and 70 cover approximately 14–41 CFM for compact workshop and production systems.

Medium Systems

D-MKE 100, 155, 190 and 210 cover approximately 59–124 CFM for medium workshop and industrial systems.

Larger Systems

D-MKE 305, 375, 495 and 623 cover approximately 180–347 CFM for larger production and industrial installations.

12 Models

The full range provides a broad choice of capacities so the dryer can be matched to the actual compressed-air demand.

Integrated Treatment

Drying & Filtration in One Compact Unit

D-MKE dryers combine refrigeration drying with integrated compressed-air filtration. Mikropor's product information describes two integrated filter stages within the dryer frame.

Water & Particle Removal

The inlet coalescing filter is designed to remove liquid water and particles before the air passes through the rest of the treatment system.

Oil Aerosol Removal

The second coalescing stage is designed for finer oil-aerosol removal, helping support cleaner compressed air downstream.

Integrated Automatic Drains

Condensate collected by the filtration stages is discharged through the integrated drain arrangement.

Reduced External Pipework

Housing the filters within the dryer can reduce separate pipework, fittings and installation space.

Air quality: Mikropor states that the D-MKE integrated treatment is designed to support ISO 8573-1 Class 1.4.1 performance when correctly selected, installed and maintained. Always confirm the final air-quality requirement for the application.
Sizing Guide

How to Size a Combination Dryer

Delivered CFM

Use the compressor's actual delivered airflow rather than motor kW or theoretical displacement.

Working Pressure

Operating pressure changes effective dryer capacity and must be included in the selection.

Inlet Temperature

Higher compressed-air inlet temperature increases moisture loading and can reduce effective dryer capacity.

Ambient Temperature

Compressor-room temperature affects refrigeration performance and should be included when applying correction factors.

Allow sensible spare capacity. Our usual air-treatment cross-sell guide is compressor CFM ÷ 0.8, giving roughly 20% spare capacity before the manufacturer's correction factors are applied.
Why Combination?

Benefits of an Integrated Dryer & Filter Unit

  • Refrigerated moisture removal and filtration in one treatment unit
  • Fewer separate components to specify and install
  • Reduced external pipework and fitting requirements
  • Compact footprint for restricted compressor-room space
  • Integrated filtration designed for low pressure drop
  • Service access to dryer and filter components within one package
Maintenance

Combination Dryer Service Requirements

An integrated dryer still requires planned maintenance. Filter elements, automatic drains, refrigeration components and the condenser all need routine inspection and servicing.

  • Replace filter elements at the required service interval
  • Inspect and maintain automatic condensate drains
  • Keep the condenser clean and correctly ventilated
  • Check operating pressures and dew-point indication
  • Investigate abnormal pressure drop
  • Maintain adequate service clearance around the unit
