Oil-Free Scroll Compressed Air from Power Systems
Receiver-mounted FLEMING models combine the compressor and a 270 litre air receiver in one packaged unit. They are useful where local air storage is required but air treatment will be specified separately.
FLEMING uses oil-free scroll technology, with single-scroll models from 2.2 to 7.5 kW and multi-scroll models from 11 to 30 kW in the wider floor-mounted range.

Choosing the Right FLEMING Package
Airflow
Size from the required delivered CFM at the operating pressure, with allowance for realistic peak demand and future requirements.
8 or 10 Bar
Higher pressure generally reduces available airflow. Select the working pressure the application actually needs rather than overspecifying pressure.
Package Format
All current receiver-mounted models use a 270 litre receiver. The receiver supports short demand peaks and system stability but does not increase continuous compressor output.
Air Quality
Oil-free compression addresses compressor-generated oil contamination. Dryer, filtration and condensate arrangements must still match the process specification.
Selection tip: FLEMING single-scroll models cover 2.2–7.5 kW, while larger 11–30 kW floor-mounted models use multiple scroll modules staged by the controller.
FLEMING Technology & Installation
Power Systems specifies Class 0 oil-free scroll compression for the FLEMING range. Single-scroll models use the SSC controller, while 11–30 kW multi-scroll models use the MSC controller to stage modules according to demand. Before installation, confirm the electrical supply, ventilation, service clearance, receiver arrangement, condensate handling and any downstream dryer or filtration requirements.

What is the difference between single-scroll and multi-scroll FLEMING compressors?
Single-scroll models cover 2.2 to 7.5 kW. The larger 11 to 30 kW floor-mounted models use multiple scroll modules, allowing the controller to stage compressor capacity as demand changes.
Are FLEMING compressors oil free?
Yes. FLEMING uses oil-free scroll compression, designed for applications where oil must not be introduced during the compression process.
What does Class 0 mean?
The FLEMING scroll pumps are certified Class 0 for oil content under ISO 8573-1. Moisture and particulate requirements still need to be considered separately for the complete compressed-air quality specification.
