Portable Piston Compressors

Portable Lubricated Belt-Driven Air Compressors

Tanair and Nuair lubricated belt-driven piston compressors for garages, workshops, maintenance, vehicle work and compatible pneumatic-tool applications.

Portable Belt-Driven Piston Compressor Range

Choose from Tanair and Nuair belt-driven piston compressors covering single-phase and three-phase supplies, with receiver capacities from 50 to 200 litres.

Select the compressor using the required usable airflow, working pressure and expected duty cycle first. Receiver size, supply and physical portability can then be used to narrow the choice.

Nuair TECH PRO Compressors

Portable 230V TECH PRO options with receiver capacities from 50 to 200 litres.

Why Choose a Lubricated Belt-Driven Compressor?

Belt-Driven Pump

The electric motor drives the compressor pump through a belt and pulley arrangement, with belt condition and tension forming part of routine maintenance.

Oil-Lubricated Pump

The lubricated piston pump requires routine oil-level checks and lubricant changes in accordance with the individual compressor instructions.

Workshop Mobility

Many receiver-mounted models include wheels and handles to allow repositioning around a suitable workshop floor.

Receiver Choice

Receiver capacities from 50 to 200 litres allow a choice between machine size, mobility and stored-air capacity.

230V & 415V Options

The range includes both single-phase and three-phase compressors. Confirm the electrical supply required by the exact model before ordering.

Air Tool Matching

Select the compressor from the required usable airflow, working pressure and duty cycle rather than receiver capacity alone.

Tanair Belt-Driven Piston Compressors

The Tanair options in this range provide a choice between a 230V 2.2 kW compressor with a 150 litre receiver and a higher-output 415V 4 kW model with a 200 litre receiver.

TAN-PCB 2.2/230/150L

A 230V single-phase option delivering 9.2 CFM at up to 10 Bar from a 150 litre receiver-mounted package.

TAN-PCB 4/415/200L

A higher-output three-phase option delivering 21.3 CFM at up to 10 Bar with a 200 litre receiver.

Tanair Support

Both compressors are supported by Compressed Air Systems UK for product selection, servicing, parts and compressed-air system requirements.

Which Receiver Size Should You Choose?

50 Litre

A more compact option where workshop space and easier repositioning are important.

100 Litre

Provides additional stored air while remaining a practical size for many garage and workshop applications.

150–200 Litre

Provides a larger stored-air reserve for applications that benefit from greater receiver capacity.

Important: a larger receiver does not increase the compressor's continuous airflow. The pump and motor must still provide sufficient usable CFM for the connected equipment.

Choosing the Correct Belt-Driven Compressor

Required Airflow

Check the delivered airflow or usable CFM required by the tools and equipment that may operate at the same time.

Working Pressure

Confirm the operating pressure required at the equipment and allow for losses through hoses, fittings and air treatment.

Duty Cycle

Consider how frequently and for how long the compressor will be expected to operate during a normal working day.

Electrical Supply

Check whether the site has the correct 230V or 415V electrical supply for the selected compressor.

Receiver Capacity

Use receiver size to provide useful stored-air capacity, but do not use receiver volume as a substitute for airflow.

Air Treatment

Applications requiring cleaner or drier air may also need correctly sized filtration and a compressed-air dryer.

Portable Belt-Driven Compressor FAQs

Are Tanair compressors included in this range?

Yes. The range includes the Tanair TAN-PCB 2.2/230/150L and TAN-PCB 4/415/200L alongside the Nuair TECH PRO models.

How many compressor models are shown?

Nine compressor models are shown: two Tanair belt-driven compressors and seven Nuair TECH PRO models.

What airflow is available?

The compressors shown range from 9 CFM to 21.3 CFM, depending on the selected model.

What receiver sizes are available?

The range includes 50, 100, 150 and 200 litre receiver options.

Are all of these compressors single phase?

No. Most of the portable TECH PRO models and the Tanair TAN-PCB 2.2/230/150L use a 230V supply, while the Tanair TAN-PCB 4/415/200L requires a suitable 415V three-phase supply.

Can these compressors run pneumatic tools?

They can where the compressor's usable airflow, working pressure and duty cycle are correctly matched to the pneumatic tool or equipment.

Does a larger receiver mean the compressor produces more CFM?

No. Receiver capacity determines stored-air volume. Continuous airflow is determined by the compressor pump and motor combination.
