Petrol Compressor Safety

Petrol engines produce carbon monoxide and other exhaust gases. Engine-driven compressors must not be operated indoors or in inadequately ventilated spaces. Position the compressor securely, follow the engine and compressor operating instructions, and keep hot engine and exhaust components clear of combustible materials.

Receiver-mounted equipment also requires appropriate care of the pressure vessel and downstream compressed-air system. Inspection and maintenance requirements depend on the installation and how the equipment is used.
