Compressed Air Pressure Monitoring

Pressure Gauges

Pressure gauges for air compressors, air receivers and compressed-air systems, including standard, glycerine-filled and replacement gauge options in a range of sizes and pressure ratings.

Air Compressor & Receiver Pressure Gauges

Pressure gauges provide a clear visual indication of pressure within compressors, receivers and compressed-air systems.

The range includes standard dry gauges, glycerine-filled gauges and additional replacement sizes covering different pressure ranges, dial diameters and connection arrangements.

Standard & Glycerine-Filled Pressure Gauges

Standard dry and glycerine-filled gauges for compatible compressors, receivers and compressed-air systems.

Additional Gauge Sizes

Replacement Pressure Gauges

Additional back-connection gauges for compatible compressors and compressed-air equipment. Match the pressure range, dial size and connection arrangement before ordering.

How to Choose the Correct Pressure Gauge

Gauges can appear almost identical while having different pressure ranges, thread sizes, dial diameters and connection positions.

Pressure Range

Confirm the required operating and gauge range before ordering.

Connection Size

Check whether the existing gauge uses a 1/8", 1/4" or another connection size.

Connection Position

Confirm whether a back-entry or bottom-entry gauge is required.

Dial Diameter

Gauges can have different dial diameters even where the connection and pressure range are similar.

Match the full specification — not just the thread. Pressure range, connection position and physical dimensions also matter.

Standard vs Glycerine-Filled Pressure Gauges

Standard dry gauges are suitable for many general compressed-air applications.

Glycerine-filled gauges contain liquid around the internal mechanism. This helps damp needle movement where vibration or pressure pulsation would otherwise make the gauge difficult to read.

Pressure Gauge Installation

  • Safely isolate the compressor or system
  • Fully depressurise the relevant equipment before removing the gauge
  • Confirm pressure range before installation
  • Check connection size and thread arrangement
  • Confirm back-entry or bottom-entry orientation
  • Use a suitable sealing method for the threaded connection
  • Do not tighten the gauge by applying excessive force to the case
  • Check the completed connection for leakage

Need Help Matching a Pressure Gauge?

Send us the information shown on the existing gauge and clear photographs of the connection arrangement.

  • Existing gauge manufacturer or part number
  • Pressure range
  • Connection size
  • Back or bottom connection
  • Dial diameter where relevant
  • Compressor or equipment model

Pressure Gauge FAQs

How do I identify the correct replacement pressure gauge?

Check the pressure range, connection size, connection position, dial diameter and any existing manufacturer or part reference.

What pressure gauge sizes are available?

The range includes 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch connection options, back-entry and bottom-entry gauges, plus dial sizes including 42mm, 50mm and 53mm on selected models.

What is a glycerine-filled pressure gauge?

A glycerine-filled gauge contains liquid that helps damp needle movement caused by vibration or pressure pulsation.

Can I choose a pressure gauge from the thread size alone?

No. Check the pressure range, connection size, connection position, dial diameter and suitability for the intended application.

What is the difference between back entry and bottom entry?

A back-entry gauge connects through the rear of the gauge case, while a bottom-entry gauge connects underneath the case.

Can Compressed Air Systems UK help identify the correct gauge?

Yes. Provide the existing gauge reference, pressure range, connection size, dial size where relevant and clear photographs of the gauge and equipment.

Not Sure Which Pressure Gauge You Need?

Send us the existing gauge details and photographs and our team can help identify a suitable replacement option.
