Flexible Diesel Compressor Packages for Off-Grid Air

A basemount compressor is supplied without an integral air receiver, giving more flexibility when the compressor is being incorporated into a service vehicle, skid, plant package or an installation with a separate correctly sized receiver.

The current Tanair diesel basemount range comprises three Yanmar-powered models with stated compressor outputs from 15 to 41 CFM. Model selection should consider usable airflow, required pressure, duty cycle and the downstream receiver and air system.

Basemount models do not include an integral air receiver. Where stored air is required, the receiver and downstream pressure equipment must be correctly selected for the compressor output and application.

Use FAD where it is available for sizing. The B60 has a verified 19.6 CFM Free Air Delivery figure. For the other models, confirm usable airflow against the intended tools, pressure and duty before ordering rather than assuming the headline CFM is FAD.

Important Diesel Engine Safety

Do not operate diesel-engine compressors in enclosed or inadequately ventilated spaces. Engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide and other harmful gases. Follow the engine and compressor manufacturer's operating, refuelling and maintenance instructions.

Allow suitable clearance around hot engine and exhaust components, keep the unit stable and secure, and make sure any receiver and downstream pressure equipment is correctly rated and installed.
