Important Diesel Engine Safety

Never operate a diesel-engine compressor indoors, in an enclosed space or where ventilation is inadequate. Diesel engines produce exhaust gases including carbon monoxide. Exhaust must be safely dispersed and the manufacturer's operating instructions followed.

Keep hot exhaust and engine components away from combustible materials, maintain stable positioning, and follow safe refuelling, servicing and shutdown procedures.

Relevant Tanair diesel compressor models use Yanmar diesel engines. Check the individual model specification before ordering.

Can a diesel compressor be used indoors?

No. Diesel engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide and other harmful gases. Engine-driven compressors should not be operated indoors or in inadequately ventilated spaces.

Does a larger receiver increase airflow?

No. A receiver stores air but does not increase the compressor's continuous delivered airflow.
