High-Flow Euro Fittings for Demanding Air Tools

Euro fittings are commonly chosen where maintaining airflow and reducing pressure loss are important. Their larger-bore profile can support demanding pneumatic tools more effectively than smaller coupling types when the rest of the hose and airline system is correctly sized.

Euro and PCL Fittings Are Not Interchangeable

Euro and PCL Standard fittings use different plug and coupling profiles. A fitting may look similar or appear to enter the wrong coupling, but that does not mean the connection is secure, correctly sealed or safe.

Standardising one suitable coupling profile throughout a workshop helps reduce mismatches, pressure loss and unnecessary adaptors.

Installation and Safety Guidance

• Isolate and depressurise the system before fitting or removing components.
• Confirm that both sides use the same Euro coupling profile.
• Check the BSP thread size and male or female connection.
• Match hose-tail diameter to the hose internal diameter.
• Use a suitable clip or clamping method on hose-tail connections.
• Inspect seals, locking sleeves and plug surfaces for wear.
• Pressure-test the completed connection and repair any leakage.
