Everything You Need to Know About Petrol Basemount Air Compressors:
Petrol basemount air compressors are ideal for established businesses needing compressed air in locations without electricity or requiring a custom-made solution. They are suitable for construction sites, agricultural applications, and remote repair work.
Petrol units start easier with a recoil starter and have less vibration than diesel units. Diesel units are typically recommended only for mines and areas where petrol units are not allowed.
Adding a larger receiver tank to the same size compressor pump can create low pressure in your system. Compressors are designed to maximize pump performance for the correct air receiver size. Larger receivers mean longer times between cut-in and cut-out pressures.
- A level floor and vibration mounting pads are recommended.
- The compressor should be installed in a well-ventilated room.
- The compressor must have approximately a 24″ clearance from the walls to allow for designed airflow and maintenance.
- The shipping skid should NOT be used as part of the mounting base.
For piston air compressors, it is recommended to use Peerless ACO2000+ compressor oil, as there is no detergent base, which will stop the foaming of oil. Do not use detergent oils in the compressor.

I can't recommend CAS UK enough.
We had a Clarke for a couple of years that we abused running it 12 hours a day. We found CAS UK when it needed a repair, and we were very impressed with how quickly they responded and came out to repair and service the machine.
Our business started to expand and we needed a large compressor with a proper airlines feeding our machines and work stations. The guys from CAS supplied the new compressor and worked flat out getting the machine and pipe working in.
They're a brilliant group of lads with a great work ethic and really easy to communicate with.
We'll 100% continue to use and recommend them.

Their advice and service supplied over the last 15 year period has been extremely valuable, we would never consider another company for our compressed air services
