Tanair HC41 | Ultrafilter HC41 Alternative Filter Element
SKU: hc41
Compatible reference: Ultrafilter HC41
Brand: Tanair
Product Overview
The Tanair HC41 | Ultrafilter HC41 Alternative Filter Element is an alternative replacement element cross-referenced to Ultrafilter HC41. It is intended for planned servicing of a confirmed compatible compressed-air filter housing where the existing element reference, housing model and required filtration stage have been checked before ordering.
Correct element selection matters because compressed-air filter housings can use similar-looking cartridges with different sealing arrangements, internal construction and service requirements. A correctly matched replacement supports the intended treatment sequence while helping maintain dependable airflow through the housing.
Replacing a loaded or overdue element at the appropriate maintenance interval can help control avoidable differential pressure, support system efficiency and protect downstream pneumatic equipment. Actual replacement intervals should follow the housing manufacturer’s guidance and the operating conditions at the installation.
Key Features and Benefits
- Cross-referenced replacement: identified against the compatible reference shown above
- Planned-maintenance component: suitable for routine element replacement in a confirmed compatible housing
- Supports dependable airflow: helps avoid unnecessary restriction associated with an overdue or contaminated element
- System protection: supports the wider compressed-air treatment system when the correct filtration stage is selected
- Selection support: Tanair can help verify the current housing and element reference before ordering

Compatibility and Selection
Confirm the filter-housing manufacturer, housing model, current element reference and required filtration stage before ordering. Catalogue letters, numbers and suffixes should be treated as product identifiers unless the original housing documentation explicitly defines their technical meaning.
Do not select an element by approximate dimensions or appearance alone. Similar cartridges may differ in seals, media, internal supports or mounting details. Where the old element is available, compare the complete reference and housing information rather than relying on only part of the code.
Why Correct Matching Matters
A replacement element becomes part of the pressure-containing filter assembly once installed. An incorrect match can create sealing problems, bypass, poor fit or unsuitable treatment performance. For this reason, the safest ordering method is to identify the housing and existing element positively before service work begins.
When preparing a maintenance order, record the housing make and model, the complete existing element reference, the treatment position in the air system and the service date. Keeping that information with the maintenance record makes future replacement simpler and reduces the risk of selecting a visually similar but unsuitable element.
Typical Applications
- Industrial compressed-air treatment systems
- Workshop and maintenance air installations
- Pneumatic tools and production equipment
- Planned servicing and preventative maintenance
- Replacement of a confirmed compatible filter element
Maintenance Guidance
Inspect and replace filter elements in accordance with the housing manufacturer’s service guidance and the actual operating conditions. Contamination level, operating hours, pressure drop, compressor condition and required air quality can all affect the appropriate replacement interval.
During servicing, inspect the bowl, seals, drain and sealing faces for contamination, damage or wear. Use only the seals and assembly procedure specified for the housing. Recording the installed element reference and service date can help maintain a consistent preventative-maintenance schedule.
Installation and Safe Use
Before opening the filter housing, isolate the compressed-air supply and fully release stored pressure. Where site procedures require it, apply suitable lock-off controls. Installation and servicing should be completed by a competent person using the correct tools and the housing manufacturer’s instructions.
After fitting the replacement element, reassemble the housing correctly, repressurise gradually and check for leakage or abnormal operation before returning the system to normal service. Never open a filter housing while it remains pressurised.
Ordering Checklist
- Confirm the complete housing manufacturer and model
- Confirm the full existing element reference, including all letters and suffixes
- Check the required filtration stage from the system or housing documentation
- Check whether seals or other service parts are required at the same maintenance interval
- If anything is unclear, send Tanair the housing and element details before ordering

Where we have received an expected dispatch date from the supplier, this will be displayed on the product page. Where a confirmed date is unavailable, an estimated lead time may be shown based on the product brand and our latest stock information.
Delivery times begin after the item has been dispatched. For example, an item with an expected dispatch date of 21 August would normally arrive 2–3 working days after that date when Standard Delivery is selected.
All expected dispatch dates and lead times are estimates and may change due to supplier availability, manufacturing delays, customs clearance, stock allocation, port delays, courier disruption or other circumstances outside our control.

- Technical guidance or troubleshooting
- Repair of the affected product or component
- Replacement of a faulty component
- Replacement of the product where repair is not appropriate

If inspection confirms that the issue is not covered by warranty, charges may apply for inspection, collection, delivery, labour, parts or return carriage.
Installation and Servicing
Some products must be installed, commissioned and maintained by a suitably competent person. Failure to follow the manufacturer’s installation, servicing or maintenance requirements may invalidate the warranty.
Where service records are required as part of the manufacturer’s warranty conditions, these should be retained for the full warranty period.
Labour, Travel and Consequential Costs
Unless expressly stated otherwise, manufacturer warranty cover may be limited to the repair or replacement of the faulty product or component.
Costs such as labour, site attendance, travel, collection, reinstallation, loss of production, downtime or other consequential losses may not be included.
FSN Group Screw Compressor Warranty
As of March 2026, screw compressors supplied under FSN Group-associated brands and purchased online through an authorised reseller are generally supplied with a 12-month warranty.
