Add the free air requirements of tools and processes that may operate at the same time, then allow for leakage and sensible future growth. Do not choose from motor kW or receiver size alone.

Select enough pressure to support the application after losses through dryers, filters, pipework and regulators. Running at unnecessary pressure increases energy use.

Confirm electrical supply, ventilation, service access, receiver capacity, dryer and filtration requirements, condensate management and pipework sizing.
