A compact compressor-and-receiver package for workshops and industrial sites

Receiver-mounted FINI CUBE models combine the compressor and air storage on a single packaged footprint, simplifying layout where a separate floor-standing receiver is not preferred.

The 4 kW, 5.5 kW and 7.5 kW machines deliver 16.2, 24.9 and 37.1 CFM respectively at up to 10 bar. Standard 270 litre receivers are available across the range, with selected galvanised “Z” versions and a 500 litre receiver option at 7.5 kW.

Choose receiver capacity for demand pattern and storage needs, but size the compressor itself from continuous airflow requirement.

Match airflow to the job before choosing the package

CFM is the key starting point for compressor sizing because it describes how much air the machine can deliver. kW indicates motor power, while bar describes pressure. The right compressor must provide both the required airflow and sufficient pressure after normal system losses.

Do not size from receiver litres or motor kW alone. Two applications with the same receiver size can have very different continuous air demands.

Build the compressed-air system around the application

270 litre standard receiver

A practical packaged option for many workshop and light-industrial air systems.

270 litre galvanised receiver

The Z version provides additional corrosion resistance where a galvanised receiver is preferred.

500 litre receiver

Available on the 7.5 kW model for applications that benefit from more stored compressed air.

Standalone dryer option

Add a separate refrigerated dryer and filtration sized for the compressor flow and site conditions.

Receiver size affects stored-air volume and how the system responds to short demand peaks; it does not increase the compressor’s continuous free-air delivery. A 500 litre receiver can therefore provide more storage than a 270 litre receiver while the 7.5 kW compressor output remains 37.1 CFM.

Sizing & Installation

What to check before ordering

Airflow: establish the combined CFM of tools and machinery that can run together, not just the largest single user.
Pressure: confirm the pressure required at the point of use and allow for losses through pipework, filters and dryers.
Electrical supply: these CUBE models are three phase; confirm the final 400/415V supply, isolator, protection and cable requirements for the selected machine with a competent electrician.
Ventilation: allow enough cool intake air and a clear route for warm cooling air to leave the compressor area.
Service access: leave practical clearance around service panels, filters, drains and air-treatment components.
Pipework: use adequately sized distribution pipework to reduce pressure drop and provide isolation points where equipment needs to be maintained.
Condensate: receivers, dryers and filters can produce condensate; provide suitable automatic drains and compliant disposal arrangements.

CFM, kW & Pressure

Three figures that should be considered together

CFM — Airflow

Free-air delivery is the amount of compressed air available to the system. Choose enough CFM for simultaneous demand and a sensible operating reserve.

kW — Motor Power

Motor kW is useful for identifying the compressor size, but it is not a substitute for checking the delivered airflow at the required pressure.

Bar — Working Pressure

Higher pressure is not automatically better. Excess system pressure can increase energy use, leakage and stress on pneumatic equipment.

Receiver — Stored Air

The receiver provides storage and helps stabilise demand. It does not create additional continuous CFM, so compressor output must still match the process.

FINI CUBE questions answered

Does the receiver increase compressor output?

No. The receiver stores air but does not change the compressor’s continuous CFM. Output remains determined by the compressor model.

What is the difference between standard and Z models?

Z identifies selected packages supplied on a galvanised receiver for improved corrosion resistance.

Why choose the 500 litre 7.5 kW model?

The larger receiver provides greater stored-air volume, which can help with short demand peaks and system stability where the application benefits from additional storage.

Do these receiver-mounted models include a dryer?

No. This group is receiver mounted without an integrated refrigerated dryer. Choose the receiver-and-dryer range if you want the dryer integrated into the package.
