Pushfit Size Refers to Tube Outside Diameter
Metric pneumatic pushfit sizes are matched to the outside diameter of the tube. Cut the tube cleanly and square, insert it fully into the fitting and avoid damaged or oval tube ends.
For compressed-air systems, the complete assembly should also be suitable for the system pressure, temperature, airflow and working environment.
Make a Clean, Reliable Connection
Isolate and depressurise the system before changing fittings. Check tube or hose condition, ensure the connection is fully seated, and inspect the completed joint for leakage after the system is safely returned to service.
